Max req7 cannot drop even as a white since the NF update.

Max req8 have the same chances of dropping in Proph/Factions and Nightfall/EotN.

Got a max req 8 Adamantium shield perfect -5/20+30 drop from the dock mission in NF 2 weeks ago it is blue though and insc.

SS of white max r7 in inventory doesn't prove anything.

PS: I'm not saying they don't drop anymore: just that the chances are so low they might just be 0 for all practical purposes.

i recently got a req8 gold inscr kournan defender in nightfall about 2 weeks ago so i know for sure those are dropping and i believe that req7's have stopped dropping altogether

I didn't see a recent R7 max drop for ages now, can't tell if they don't drop or not.
The normal mode/non-level 20 monster drop in Proph/Cantha is the only condition they were found as far as I know.
I've seen some req 8 inscr. drops, so I suppose they still drop.

For me the screenshot of a R7 max (any color) assigned drop on the floor would be the only 'proof' that R7 max weapons still drop. Preferably with some 'proof' that it's a recent SS, with stuff like titles/heroes/weapons that were introduced with NF or later.
It doesn't matter if it's white, blue, purple or gold, if a white one drops a gold one could also drop.

strangely some max white r7's are actually selling for a couple plat, r8 white is rather worthless (up to 1k for some nice skins)

as far as I know req 7s don't exist with inscrips. Req 8s do drop though. Don't know if there are req 8 bds, eternal, voltaic stuff though

To the best of my knowledge, end chests/Z-chests do not drop lower than req9 weapons.

I do seem to recall fenix getting a 18-35 damage hammer from the Z-chest though, so maybe it's possible that the requisite could drop.

REQ. 7 max items with inscription slots still drop, at least up to a blue quality (get them in DoA occasionally). Haven't seen a purple drop for ages; same with gold. Had a gold REQ. 7 max bow drop in Prophecies not long after Nightfall was released and everyone started asking this question, but since then, I haven't had any more luck.

High end chests(endchests, HoH/Zaishen chest, treasure hunter chests) or lvl24+ mobs have a small chance (somewhere between 0.1-0.5%) to have a Gold Bow/Daggers/Hammer to drop a 1dmg-off. (Have observed multiples of those 3 weapon types, haven't noticed others). Those sources however can't drop any req8 weapons (in Gold or Purple, lv24+ mobs can drop r8 blues)

Meh, I really doubt req7 "got removed".. Makes no sense.. Of course theyd be only tyria/cantha tho.

But seriously, didnt they use to be quite rare even in the times of prophecies?? I doubt anyone can just say "they were removed" and hope for any credibility

req7s got simply removed from tyria/cantha aswell, with the ajustments to global drop stats generation algorithm done with the NF update. They used to be rare, but now newly dropped req8s are close to that rarity, in all continents.

I looted a white req 8 tactics shield (white) ... *sigh* I can put a handle on it but no inscription. Wish we could customize shields.

Actually it was confirmed, to many ppl dont want to believe it is all. Unless you're one of those that think non max req 7 are VERY VERY RARE.

oh and the reason we dont see r7's pop up is, along with the insanely low drop rate, how many are actually actively playing in (nm) prophecies and factions?
